Ryerson University鈥檚 Optional Specializations provide an opportunity for students to enrich and augment their studies by focusing on a particular area of interest.

Specialization courses are completed in addition to the student鈥檚 regular program requirements, often in the Spring/Summer or via Distance Education. Optional Specializations are noted on the student鈥檚 Official Transcript upon graduation from their program.

Students must follow the Specialization鈥檚 published curriculum and also must maintain a Clear Academic Standing.

To pursue an Optional Specialization, students must officially register. Some of the courses have pre-requisites. Contact information, registration procedures, and deadlines are provided in the links below.
