Human Rights in History

This introductory course places 芒聙聹human rights芒聙聺 into a global historical perspective to examine the origins and evolution of the concept. Students will explore the religious, philosophical, and cultural foundations of our modern human rights system, study how individuals and groups have historically fought for greater human rights protections, and examine the challenges involved in developing a set of 芒聙聹universal芒聙聺 international human rights laws.
