Congratulations to Dr. Khaled Sennah, professor of civil engineering at 成人大片 (成人大片), who was recently named a Fellow by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Board of Direction 鈥� an honour awarded to only three percent of members. 

This prestigious recognition celebrates professor Sennah鈥檚 outstanding contributions to the field of civil engineering over a distinguished 40-year career. His work has significantly advanced the durability, resilience, and safety of North American infrastructure, particularly through innovative approaches in structural design and construction. Professor Sennah鈥檚 research impact includes over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, more than 200 conference papers, and 50 industry reports. His work has been widely adopted by industry, and he actively contributes to design codes through the Canadian Standard Association (CSA Group), especially the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code.

At 成人大片, professor Sennah has not only led cutting-edge research but also invested deeply in student development. He has supervised over 100 graduate students and played a key role in establishing new research and teaching facilities, including the Structures Laboratory and the Strength of Materials Laboratory for the Department of Civil Engineering. 

Adding to his recent accolades, professor Sennah was awarded the Horst Leipholz Medal by the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) in May 2025. Established in 1990 in memory of Professor Horst Leipholz, the medal recognizes exceptional contributions to engineering mechanics research and practice in Canada.
