Biography
Samantha Riga is a creative professional who鈥檚 passionate about design and media, and fully believes in creating Art for Art鈥檚 sake. In June of 2025, Samantha graduated from Graphic Communications Management at 成人大片 with a Bachelor of Technology and a Minor in Marketing. Her undergrad was spent exploring the capabilities of print, and how it interacts with digital forms of media. Her final capstone dissected the ways in which global events affected print media and design, and how nearly 100-year-old principles of advertising evolved to cater to today鈥檚 digital landscape.
Samantha is currently a design assistant and coordinator at The Creative School at 成人大片. She managed communications and created graphics for the Red Bull Gaming Hub at 成人大片鈥檚 social media channels, and continues to design both print and social media graphics for various units within The Creative School. She is also a graphic design assistant for TOBU and works with freelance clients on the side. These experiences have given her the opportunity to refine her skills in various disciplines. She鈥檚 designed full brand concepts, created layouts for long-form books and print materials, and worked on illustrative motion graphics.
In her free time, Samantha practises digital and traditional illustration. She is also a classically trained pianist and has been playing for over 15 years. Overall, Samantha loves surrounding herself in an environment that is inherently creative. She strives to never stop making, creating, and ideating, for as long as she can.
Why Digital Media?
I decided to pursue a Masters degree because I wanted to continue exploring my undergrad thesis topic. I鈥檝e always been very inspired by how the human experience influences the media that is created. In my undergrad, I got to study how global events affected the evolution of print media. Joining MDM has allowed me to now explore that connection to the evolution of digital spaces. It鈥檚 very lovely that my post-secondary career began by exploring the foundations of media and has moved to focus on the evolution of digital media as I evolve in my own career.
