Isabel Gil is an Assistant Professor at the Centro de Relaciones Internacionales of the Facultad de Ciencias Pol铆ticas y Sociales at the Universidad Nacional Aut贸noma de M茅xico (FCPS-UNAM). Before joining FCPS-UNAM, she was a postdoctoral researcher at El Colegio de M茅xico where she is an affiliated researcher at the Seminario Migraci贸n, Desigualdad y Pol铆ticas P煤blicas. She holds a PhD in Sociology from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY), a Masters in Humanities and Social Thought from New York University (NYU) and a B.A. in Political Science from the Instituto Tecnol贸gico Aut贸nomo de M茅xico (ITAM). Her main research interests are international migration and forced displacement, inequality, gender, sociology of time and qualitative research methods. Her work has been published in the Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, the Journal of Migration and Human Security, the Journal of Immigrant and Refugee Studies (forthcoming), (Trans)fronteriza and Metropolitics among other places.
