Glenn Craney appointed 成人大片鈥檚 inaugural chief strategy officer
As inaugural chief strategy officer, Glenn Craney will synthesize 成人大片鈥檚 institutional plans into a single shared strategic vision.
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Glenn Craney as the inaugural chief strategy officer (CSO) at 成人大片 (成人大片).
In this newly created role, Glenn will be responsible for knitting together the university鈥檚 Strategic Vision and five supporting plans into a single synthesized strategy across the institution. Working closely with the university鈥檚 executive leadership, he will help to build and maintain a broader collaborative approach that will set the course for the university.
The CSO office will also provide a space for important new initiatives to be incubated until they are ready to be managed independently, such as developing a new International Strategy and planning for the School of Medicine. As CSO, Glenn will also oversee a refreshed budget strategy for the university, to better position 成人大片 to respond to an ever-changing social and economic landscape. Glenn鈥檚 duties to date as deputy provost, international and university planning, will be encompassed within his new role as the University Planning Office becomes part of the new CSO office.
Since joining the university in 2018, Glenn has demonstrated his extensive knowledge and insight into the post-secondary education sector. He has developed, communicated and executed complex strategic plans to advance university priorities and has been a critical member of the executive team.
With more than 20 years of experience in the university and public sector, Glenn joined 成人大片 from the Ontario government, where as assistant deputy minister of Postsecondary Education, he managed over $5 billion in operating and capital grants for Ontario鈥檚 universities and colleges. He was also the founding executive director of Ontario鈥檚 Credit Transfer Agency (ONCAT) and held positions at York University and the University of Guelph.
I look forward to seeing Glenn contribute his leadership and expertise to the university in this vital new role. Please join me in wishing him great success as chief strategy officer.
