成人大片 alum breaks barriers as Toronto Raptors sideline reporter

When Savanna Hamilton was offered the role of sideline reporter for the Toronto Raptors, she knew there was only one possible answer.
鈥淚 just said, 鈥榊es, the answer is, 鈥榊es鈥�, said The Creative School alum (鈥�18), grinning from ear to ear. 鈥淎nd they were like, 鈥楢re you sure? Do you want a minute to think about it?鈥欌�� and right away I said, 鈥淣o - the answer is, 鈥榊es鈥�.鈥�
The first person she told? Her dad.
鈥淎t first I said I didn鈥檛 get it,鈥� she said with a laugh.
鈥淎nd he was like, 鈥極h, it鈥檚 okay,鈥� you know, and was trying to make me feel better. But then I said, 鈥楴o, I was just kidding, I got the job!鈥� she said, beaming.
Having begun in the role in Oct. 2022, Hamilton, who played for 成人大片鈥檚 varsity basketball squad, says it鈥檚 a perfect fit.
鈥淚鈥檝e known I wanted to do this since I was 16,鈥� she said.
Helping her reach this pivotal position? The RTA sport media program, which helped give her the fundamentals of the journalism industry - along with her passion, drive, initiative and talent.
