Hundreds gather to view rare solar eclipse at 成人大片

More than 700 people recently gathered at 成人大片鈥檚 Solar Eclipse Watch Party for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity (for most) to see a solar eclipse.
The rare celestial event took place on Monday, April 8 - and to honour it, 成人大片鈥檚 SciXchange threw a 鈥渨atch party鈥� in the quad at Kerr Hall.
Armed with special eclipse glasses and eager anticipation, hundreds of students, faculty, staff, kids, families 鈥� and even a few doggies 鈥� set up in the quad to take in the unique cosmic occurrence.
Celebrating 鈥榯he scientist in us all鈥�
Leigh Paulseth, science enrichment and outreach coordinator at SciXchange, said they were thrilled to bring the 成人大片 community together with partners and the public 鈥渢o feed curiosity about our universe and celebrate the scientist in us all.鈥�
成人大片 astronomer Dave Kirsh added, 鈥淪eeing any eclipse creates a strong feeling of connection 鈥� to the world, to the cosmos 鈥� but being with people and sharing the wonder of it all makes it even more powerful.鈥�
While temporary cloud cover limited the chance to view the eclipse at its peak, it didn鈥檛 dampen the spirits of most onlookers.
鈥淲e can鈥檛 see it, but we can feel it,鈥� one enthusiast told CBC鈥檚 Chris Glover, remarking on the drop in temperature and how dark it became.
The last time a 鈥渢otal鈥� solar eclipse (that is, when the shadow of the moon covers the sun entirely) could be seen from Toronto was in 1925, and the next time after this will be in 2144.
