Gain advanced skills in 3D rendering, virtual reality and environmental simulation in our cutting-edge digital fabrication facility. You鈥檒l also have access to traditional woodworking shops, ceramics studios and a curated materials library to bring your ideas to life with precision and creativity. An optional co-op placement and mandatory internship will provide you with additional opportunities to apply your studies in professional settings.
After graduation and work experience, pursue professional membership with the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO), if desired.

- The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Interior Design combined with 成人大片鈥檚 Master of Interior Design (MID) form a program of study recognized by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA).

School of Interior Design marks 75 years of year-end showcases
The School of Interior Design (SID) celebrated 75 years of year-end showcases with YES 2025: Reflections, a student-led exhibition that transformed studio spaces into immersive galleries and installations. Welcoming over 1,500 visitors, the event highlighted student growth, creative vision and SID鈥檚 lasting impact on the future of interior design.

This is a Grades-Plus program. Admission decisions for Grades-Plus programs are based on academic performance plus non-academic criteria such as interviews, auditions, essays and portfolios. Your ability to follow and adhere to the requirements is part of the assessment of your application.
Academic requirements for full-time, 4-year program
To be considered for admission, Ontario high school students must meet the following requirements:
- Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
- Completion of 6 Grade 12 U or M courses with a minimum overall average of 70%
- Completion of the following required courses:
- Grade 12 U English/anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred) (minimum grade of 70%)
- Grade 11 U or M or Grade 12 U mathematics (one of: MCF3M, MCR3U, MHF4U, MCV4U, MDM4U) (minimum grade of 60%)
An overall average of 70% is required for consideration. Due to competition, the average needed for admission can fluctuate each year (it depends on the number of applications received and the number of spaces available). The grade range at the top of this page represents the average required in previous years.
Academic admission requirements for all other applicants are available on the admission requirements page. If you haven鈥檛 been educated in Ontario, you may be considered with the equivalent of the Ontario requirements. 成人大片 reserves the right to determine equivalency at its sole discretion.
Non-academic requirements
飦� Fall 2026 non-academic requirement due date:
February 1, 2026 or 10 business days from your application submission date, whichever comes later.
Create a new collection of 3-5 photographs of interior spaces. In 100-150 words, explain why these spaces are interesting. When taking these photographs, avoid personal locations and travel, such as family homes and vacations.
The evaluators are looking for:
- Originality 鈥� your unique perspective or approach
- Composition 鈥� how you arrange the elements within the frame
- Creativity/passion 鈥� evidence of emotive connection or personal expression
The evaluation weight is 50% for images and 50% for text.
- Photographs must be original and taken by the applicant in the current year.
- Photographs taken with a camera or mobile phone are acceptable formats.
- AI image and text generators are not permitted.
- Please ensure the photos and your written response are saved and submitted as a single .pdf file.
- Applicants should not include or refer to their names in the submitted images and text.
Submissions will be evaluated on originality, composition and creativity/passion. Inquiries about non-academic requirements can be directed to SIDadvising@torontomu.ca.
The non-academic requirements assessment fee is $50 CAD and must be paid in order for your submission to be reviewed. Here鈥檚 how to pay:

Then click on the Non-Academic Fee Form link.
You're required to submit all components of their non-academic requirements via the Choose成人大片 Applicant Portal. Due to the volume of applications received and our system performance, we strongly encourage you to submit your documents well in advance of the noted deadlines.
Here鈥檚 how to access your Choose成人大片 Applicant Portal account:
- Get your 成人大片 Student Number in the email acknowledgement of your application
- Activate your 成人大片 Online Identity. Fill in the Activation Form on the Accounts website. When asked for your Student/Applicant ID, enter your 9-digit 成人大片 Student Number. Keep a record of your user name and password
- 24 hours after activating your 成人大片 Online Identity, visit the Choose成人大片 Applicant Portal
If you're applying for readmission or reinstatement, you're not required to submit non-academic requirements.
飦� You must inform the program department of your intentions by February 1, 2026, or 10 business days from your application submission date (whichever comes later).
