Are you looking for a job on campus? The department of Student Life & Learning Support hires students every year - you could be one of our student staff in summer 2025 and in the next academic year!
Student Life and Learning Support is a big team dedicated to student success and development. We are Learning Support, International Student Support, Student Life & Campus Engagement, and the Tri-Mentoring Program.
Applications are now open! The deadline for returning members to apply to their SLLS sub-unit is January 19, 2025, and for new SLLS student staff, the application period will close on February 2, 2025.
Student Life & Learning Support provides opportunities for students to take ownership of their 成人大片 experience so that they grow as socially, civically and academically engaged members of their communities.

Frequently Asked Questions
All 成人大片 students can apply for SLLS jobs. However, the majority of positions have been created for domestic undergraduate students, and require Career Boost Program approval. Read the job descriptions carefully as some positions have been created solely for graduate students and / or international students. More information can be found on the Career, Co-op, and Student Success webpage.
Most positions require on campus in-person interaction, however, some remote work may be possible. This is a good question to ask in the job interview.
For Summer 2025, there are 2 contract periods (see individual job postings):
- Period 1: May 5th to August 8th, 2025
- Period 2: May 19th to August 22nd, 2025
For Fall 2025: September 8th - December 12th, 2025
For Winter 2026: January 5th - April 3th, 2026
Summer 2025: 35 hours per week for 14 weeks
Fall 2025: Approx. 10 hours/week for 14 weeks
Winter 2026: Approx. 10 hours/week for 13 weeks
All domestic undergraduate students must obtain Career Boost approval. For student eligibility requirements and the approval application please visit the Student Financial Assistance website. Students residing outside of Ontario are not eligible for Career Boost. If you are on a work term or an exchange, you will not be eligible for Career Boost for that term.
To obtain Career Boost approval, the minimum GPA is 2.0, however some SLLS positions may require a higher GPA.
You need to be enrolled in a full-time course load for both the fall term and winter term, i.e. at least 3 courses per semester.
The Career Boost International program provides employment to full-time Undergraduate and Graduate International students who hold valid study permits and whose educational costs are not covered by Canadian government student assistance programs.
Unlike Career Boost for Domestic students and Graduate students, there is no formal application process to gain official "approval status" for Career Boost International. International students will need to meet all the criteria in . Only certain SLLS positions have been created for international student applicants.

The Career Boost Graduate & Law program provides jobs for eligible full-time domestic Graduate and Law students. Read the job description for each position carefully to see if graduate students are eligible.
Apply through the . The cover letter, resume, (and portfolio if needed) need to be uploaded as one PDF document. New for 2024, candidates can only apply to jobs within a single unit of SLLS, i.e. International Student Support, Learning Support, Student Life & Campus Engagement, 成人大片 Leadership, Tri-Mentoring Program.
You can apply for 2 jobs under each sub-unit, but each sub-unit needs its own application form (i.e. Math Support Assistant & Peer Academic Coach for Learning Support is one application and Orientation Lead & Student Support Assistant under SLCE is another application).
