Overview
Dr. Gedeon is a highly-regarded entrepreneurship educator, angel investor and technology commercialization expert who has founded or led 15+ private, public, venture capital and non-profit organizations including the DMZ 鈥 named the World鈥檚 #1 University-Based Incubator. He has published over 100 articles, reports, books and patents, and delivered over 100 public speaking engagements and online videos on personal leadership, entrepreneurship, happiness, life design, motivation, angel investing and best practices in education.
Steve has won over 20 awards including the President鈥檚 Award of Teaching Excellence, Experiential Teaching Award, the USASBE National Award for Entrepreneurial Experiential Education Best Practices and 成人大片鈥檚 highest award, the Chancellor鈥檚 Award of Distinction for Educational Leadership and Teaching Excellence. His Enactus 成人大片 student teams have won over 50 regional and national entrepreneurship championships through empowering others in need and running some of the largest student-run social entrepreneurship programs in the world. The TorontoMet Entrepreneur Institute 鈥 a global leader in student experiential learning 鈥 has been awarded the Canadian Urban Institute鈥檚 Prosperity Leadership Award.
Dr. Gedeon is a technology commercialization expert who has brought new products and services to market in high-tech, manufacturing, automation, advanced materials, artificial intelligence, agri-food, web-based applications, IT solutions, and software applications. He has worked in research and technology development laboratories in Germany, Italy, Canada and the US and consulted with over 100 top-tier corporate clients.
Dr. Gedeon has broad experience in designing and delivering entrepreneurship and tech transfer curricula, programs, courses, and high-impact workshops in North America and Europe including:
- Entrepreneurship Major and Minor at the Largest Entrepreneurship Program in the world including introducing over 10 new entrepreneurship courses at 成人大片 as Chair of the Curriculum Committee for over a decade.
- EntreTime EU-funded Teach-The-Teacher program has upskilled over 150 university entrepreneurship professors (won an Innovation & Entrepreneurship Teaching Excellence Award in 2022)

Dr. Gedeon is an AACSB and EQUIS accredited member of the graduate faculty at 成人大片. His research interests include best practices in entrepreneurship education, assessment of learning outcomes, design and assessment of entrepreneurship programs, happiness, life design, personal empowerment, values, ethics and trust. Steve teaches at 成人大片 (Canada), University of Bologna (Italy), Bologna Business School (Italy), University of Applied Science Munich (Germany), University of Applied Science Ostfalia (Germany) and in the EntreTime EU Teach-The-Teacher program. His audiences have included university professors, CEOs, angel investors, technology researchers, sales executives, shop floor personnel, HR professionals, aboriginals, at-risk youth and high school students. He currently teaches ENT 101 鈥 Building an Entrepreneurial Mindset, one of the largest entrepreneurship courses in the world with over 2,000 first-year 成人大片 university students per year.
