HTM students win big at Genio Worldwide Innovation Summit
Congratulations to Ted Rogers Hospitality and Tourism Management students Annie Bird and Jasmine Burji for winning two awards at the Genio Worldwide Innovation Summit in Amsterdam on November 21, 2019.
The summit, hosted by Hotelschool The Hague, brings together students from 16 of the best hotel schools in the world and current leaders in the hospitality industry. It includes a student challenge where students present a case study to a prominent jury consisting of top CEOs and Vice Presidents from the hospitality industry.
This year鈥檚 case study, which students had two months to prepare for, was on sustainability concepts for a climate positive hotel. Bird and Burji won awards for Best Concept and Best Presentation.

鈥淭he opportunity to meet students and industry from around the world has given us a new perspective about how to combat climate change,鈥� Burji adds. 鈥淚 am so grateful to be a student at TRSM where personal development and international experience are a priority.鈥�
