Based on the applicable procedures and the results of the referendum, it has been determined that a sufficient number of students in the LASL agreed to the creation of a fee of $140.00 per academic year to fund the operation of the Lincoln Alexander Law Student Society. REFERENDUM PROCLAMATION

Lincoln Alexander Law Students鈥� Society Fee Referendum 2025

On September 29, 2025, the Board of Governors of 成人大片 approved the holding of a referendum among all students enrolled in the Juris Doctor (鈥淛D鈥�) degree program in the Lincoln Alexander School of Law (鈥淟ASL鈥�) to seek approval to create a levy to fund the activities of the Lincoln Alexander Law  Students鈥� Society (鈥淟ALSS鈥�).   

If successful, an LALSS fee of $140 per academic year, payable over two terms, would be paid by all students enrolled in the JDuris Doctor (JD) program in the LASL. The funds would be used by the LALSS to support their programming including the support of professional development and meeting space for LASL students, community engagement, and support for LALSS clubs.

The approved referendum question is:

"Do you agree to the creation of a fee of $140 per academic year (payable over two terms) to support the operation of the Lincoln Alexander Law Students鈥� Society, to be paid by all students enrolled in the Juris Doctor (JD) degree program in the Lincoln Alexander School of Law, commencing in the Fall 2026 term, and indexed annually to the Toronto Consumer Price Index?"
