2025 成人大片 IT Conference
Running from May 21-22, 2025, 成人大片鈥檚 10th annual IT Conference saw our highest number of attendees yet with 564 registrants, including approximately 100 guests from 57 organizations outside of 成人大片, including Chief Information Officers (CIOs), other IT leaders and IT providers from fellow Ontario universities, colleges and the Ontario public sector. The 2025 conference included an in-person day (May 21) and a fully virtual day (May 22), with 381 attendees registered to attend our in-person programming.
In recognition of the shared interests between 成人大片鈥檚 academic teaching and information technology communities, this year the IT Conference partnered with 成人大片鈥檚 annual Learning and Teaching Conference to bring together faculty, staff and cross-university colleagues for both conferences. By developing conference programming together and organizing both conferences in the same week, our conference programming aimed to spark new opportunities for collaboration that would enhance learning, teaching methods and student engagement here at 成人大片.
The 2025 conferences featured two keynotes focused on the emergence of 鈥渃ommodified intelligence鈥 and the current cybersecurity threat landscape for postsecondary institutions. Mark Daley, Chief AI Officer and Professor, Department of Computer Science, Western University, explored what the rise of artificial intelligence means for individual and collective human adaptation in a world where genius-level cognitive assistance becomes universally available. Daniela Spagnolo, Chief information Security Officer, Ontario Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery, spoke to the implications of Bill 194, the Strengthening Cyber Security and Building Trust in the Public Sector Act, 2024 and how how higher education institutions can strengthen their cyber resiliency in an increasingly digital era.
Our Cybersecurity track included external participants from across the IT sector. Presentation highlights included:

2024 成人大片 IT Conference
Bringing together 475 attendees, the ninth annual 成人大片 (成人大片) IT Conference was held from May 21 to 23, 2024 and included the conference鈥檚 first in-person gathering in five years. The three day conference attracted approximately 100 guests from 64 organization's external to 成人大片 for our unique cybersecurity track, representing chief information officers (CIOs), IT leaders and providers from the Ontario public sector and Ontario postsecondary institutions. Our return to an in-person conference day brought 270 成人大片 community members to campus on May 23 for a keynote and a variety of sessions on IT in teaching, learning and administration and IT projects and demonstrations.
The 2024 conference featured two keynotes, including addresses on cybersecurity and the impact of AI on universities. Luke McNamara, deputy chief analyst at Mandiant Intelligence, spoke to the role state actors in the threat landscape, attacks on university research and shared initial observations of AI in the hands of attackers. Mark Daley, chief AI officer for Western University, discussed the impact of AI on the postsecondary sector and university policies and principles regarding AI.
The conference鈥檚 Cybersecurity track attracted guests external to the university from across the IT sector. Presentation highlights included:

2023 成人大片 IT Conference
The eighth annual IT Conference was hosted online and attracted 500 attendees. Spanning four days from May 23 to 26, 2023, attendees comprised 成人大片 faculty, staff and students, and included approximately 150 guests from 83 organizations outside of 成人大片. Representation included Chief Information Officers (CIOs), IT leaders and IT providers from fellow Ontario universities, colleges and the Ontario public sector who participated in the conference鈥檚 Cybersecurity track.
The 2023 conference featured an opening keynote address from Dr. Margaret Mitchell, Chief Ethics Scientist at Hugging Face. A researcher focused on the ins and outs of machine learning and ethics-informed AI development in tech, Dr. Mitchell presented on Forecasting the Future of AI From What We Know Today.
The conference also featured a cybersecurity-focused keynote address presented by Oleh Derevianko, Co-Founder, Chairman and Chief Visionary Officer at Information Systems Security Partners, who gave a timely presentation titled Cyberwar is Real. What We Know, Don't Know and Hope for After a Year of Russia's Full Scale Invasion of Ukraine.

2023 成人大片 IT Conference keynote speakers
Taking place from May 25 to 28, 2021, the seventh annual IT Conference attracted more than 450 attendees for our first ever fully virtual conference. Attendees included 成人大片 faculty, staff and students, but also included guests external to 成人大片 representing Chief Information Officers (CIOs), other IT leaders and IT providers from fellow Ontario universities, colleges and the Ontario public sector who participated in the conference鈥檚 Cybersecurity track.
The 2021 conference featured keynote addresses from Dr. Jessica Barker, co-founder and co-CEO of , on The Human Factor in Cybersecurity, and Dr. Rhonda McEwen, special advisor to the Vice-President and Principal on Anti-Racism and Equity, at the University of Toronto Mississauga and director and professor at the who presented The Role of IT in Equity and Inclusion.

2021 成人大片 IT Conference Gallery
Hosted in person at the George Vari Engineering and Computing Centre, the 2019 成人大片 IT Conference occurred on May 23, 2019 and attracted more than 325 staff, faculty and students.
The 2019 conference featured a keynote presentation from Susan Grajek, 鈥檚 vice-president for communities and research. She is responsible for EDUCAUSE research and benchmarking programs, communities of practice, and the IT Issues Panel, which releases the Top 10 IT Issues annually. With her presentation on The Digital Transformation of Higher Education, attendees learned about the cultural, technological and workforce shifts that are entailed with the digital transformation of higher education and heard examples of innovations already underway on campuses in North America.
In the lead-up to the 2019 conference, we also partnered with the University of Toronto to present our Cybersecurity Day at the 2019 Ontario Higher Education Information Technology (OHEIT) Conference, hosted at the UofT St. George campus. OHEIT鈥檚 Cybersecurity Day included:
- We Can and Must Have Both: A keynote presentation by Dr. Ann Cavoukian, a recognized privacy expert, explored how a strong foundation of security is essential to privacy

2019 成人大片 IT Conference Gallery
In 2018, our two day 成人大片 IT Conference took place on May 30 and 31, with the first day of the conference highlighting new and emerging IT initiatives and services across a variety of university departments. Keynote speaker Malcolm Brown, director of learning initiatives, discussed the next generation of learning and teaching and the role technology will play in transforming higher education.
Day two of the conference was focused on cybersecurity, with both a technical track suited for IT providers and a general track devoted to anyone with an interest in staying safe online. Keynote speaker Colleen Merchant, director general of national cybersecurity at , provided insight into cybersecurity planning at the national level, including federal government commitments to proactively evolve cybersecurity.
