Helped to foster a sense of community?

The C.T. Gillin Community Development Award (up to $1000) is given to a student who:

  • is enrolled in any year of the Sociology program
  • has demonstrated a commitment to fostering a sense of community among Sociology program students in the previous academic year
  • has a clear academic standing, and
  • demonstrates financial need

Committed to Food Justice?

The Mustafa Ko莽 Food Justice Award ($1500) is given to a student who:

  • is enrolled in any year of the Sociology program, and
  • demonstrates a commitment to improving access to food for vulnerable groups through research or action, in Canada or globally

Improved your grades from last year?

The Slobodan Drakulic Memorial Award (up to $1000) is given to a student who:

  • is enrolled in the second or third year of the Sociology program
  • demonstrated a clear improvement in grades during the previous academic year
  • has a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • demonstrates financial need, and
  • is a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a protected person living in Ontario
