All campus washrooms have standard-size sharps disposal bins that are suitable for lancets, blades, needles, syringes, or other injection devices.

Large sharps containers are currently available in washrooms on the first floor of Kerr Hall North, between two accessible entrances to the building. 

These larger containers are suitable for the disposal of sharps and personal medical equipment that is too large for a standard-sized bin. For example, sharps that are integrated with medical tubing such as catheters or medication infusion systems, or some types of autoinjectors.

Container replacement process

成人大片鈥檚 Custodial Services team oversees the safe removal and replacement of full containers. If you encounter a sharps container that needs servicing, please send a to the Facilities Help Desk (鈥淔ixit鈥�) and include the building and room number.

What to do if you find a needle on campus

If you find a needle on campus, do not pick it up as it could pose a health risk. Instead, please immediately notify 成人大片 Toronto Campus Security at 416-979-5040 or security@torontomu.ca; or 成人大片 Brampton Campus Security at 416-598-5950 or somsecurity@torontomu.ca; or Fixit at 416-979-5091 or fixit@torontomu.ca, so that employees with proper training and equipment can safely remove and dispose of the needle.
